Harris Solitude II Review
Harris Solitude II Fly Reel Review

They say it’s the guides choice. I now know why.
This is a tank of a reel, bulletproof. I mean that in a good way. This is a solid piece of equipment that will see the user breakdown long before it will.
I had the pleasure of using the Solitude II all season. From largemouth bass, brookies, browns, rainbows, I even took it out looking for steelhead a few times, that’s how confident I am about this reel. It has performed flawlessly on all occasions.

The drag is smooth and easily accessed and offers what seems to be infinite settings with the simplest and trouble free disc brake drag designs available. Even when soaked, the drag performed perfectly.
The drag system is fully enclosed in its own stainless housing to resist grit and moisture. Salt water included.

The handle is a full 1-1/8 inches long. Longer than most of my 8/9wt reels. This to me is definitely a plus, tiny handles are hard to find with gloves on, you won’t be fumbling around with this one.

I love everything about this reel, the look, the feel, in my opinion this reel is flawless, including the price.
I have written a lot of favorable reviews lately, but when I’m reviewing products of this quality I can’t help but rave about them.
